CenterPoint Theatre is a community-based performing arts organization producing a wide range of live shows throughout the year. As programming evolved, the digital and in-venue experience lacked a cohesive brand system—making it harder for audiences to easily explore productions and feel immersed in the experience both online and in person.

I led the redesign of the website, working within and extending the existing brand to create a structured, scalable experience that brought clarity, consistency, and a stronger sense of identity across the full audience journey.

The Challenge

CenterPoint Theatre produces a wide range of live performances throughout the year, but the experience outside the stage didn't reflect the same level of energy and immersion. While the performances themselves felt magical and engaging, the surrounding moments—from purchasing tickets online to navigating the venue— felt disconnected and inconsistent, lacking the same sense of excitement.

The opportunity was to reimagine the full audience journey and extend that energy beyond the stage, creating a more cohesive and immersive experience across every touchpoint—from ticket purchase to playbill—so the experience felt memorable from start to finish.

My Role

I led the development of a cohesive, end-to-end audience experience for CenterPoint Theatre, shaping how the brand came to life across the website and key touchpoints. By defining the structure, user flow, and extending the visual system, I worked to create a more immersive and unified experience across digital, campaign, and in-venue interactions.

The Approach

My approach focused on rethinking the audience experience as a cohesive journey rather than a series of disconnected interactions. I simplified how audiences discover and engage with productions, creating a clearer, more intuitive path from exploration to ticket purchase.

At the same time, I worked to extend the energy of the performances beyond the stage, translating that sense of excitement into the digital and in-venue experience. By creating a more unified visual and experiential system across the website, signage, and campaign materials, I ensured each touchpoint felt connected and contributed to a more immersive overall experience.

Impact

The result was a more engaging and intentional experience that extended beyond the performance itself—bringing greater consistency and energy to how the brand showed up across touchpoints. Rather than feeling like a series of separate interactions, the experience became more connected and memorable, both online and in person.

Designed for an organization serving over 150,000 patrons annually, the work helped shape how audiences experience the brand at scale—ensuring that the energy of the performances carried through every part of the journey.
